Home-made Motorized Focuser

2014-09-02: Based on an Arduino microcontroler, a stepper motor, and software that emulates a Robofocus protocol (project ArduinoFocus), this remote focuser achieves high precision and repeatability, with a spatial resolution of 2 microns/pulse, and no measurable backlash.

The motor is attached to the dovetail, while the belt is tensed by sliding the OTA along the rings. Hence, no noticeable vibrations are transmitted.
